Carbide recycling
The topic of recycling is gaining ever more in terms of its importance at SITEK, and continues to play an ever bigger role. Currently, we recycle 50 tons of carbide annually. For this purpose, we purchase carbide scrap of various qualities from all over Europe, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, we buy back our own products. As a rule, these are carbides brazed onto steel, which we first desolder. We then recycle both the carbide and the steel by type. In addition, we have developed a special decoating process to be able to remove PVD and CVD coatings from the products as well. The primary goal is to keep the quality of the recyclates constant.
